Polaris Holdings Co., Ltd. was established in 1912 as a textile company. It has evolved with a focus on real estate and hotel businesses. Partnering with Star Asia Group in November 2018, it launched a profitable hotel operation. Polaris Holdings Corporation is the result of the fusion of these two companies. As of June 2021, they operate 30 hotels with 5,117 rooms nationwide. Polaris Holdings maximizes the value of its investments through highly profitable businesses that apply the perspectives of fund management to hotel operations. The company integrates hotel business and investment, utilizing real estate investment management know-how in hotel operations. It also employs an “owner-operator model” and various business models including outsourced management and franchise models. The company has two main hotel brands: KOKO HOTELS (19 hotels, 3,536 guest rooms) and BEST WESTERN (10 hotels, 1,306 guest rooms) in Japan.
