It is a joint venture with Shanghai International Port (Group) Company Limited (SIPG) and operates the Shanghai Mingdong Container Terminals Limited (SMCT) at Waigaoqiao Phase V (WGQ Phase V) in Shanghai. The joint venture has a registered capital of RMB 4 billion. SMCT operates four deepwater container berths. SMCT is located at the Yangtze estuary near Wu Hao Gou, providing the shortest navigation channel for ocean-going vessels. It has a total area of 1.63 million square metres and is equipped with deep-water berths, quay cranes, and RTGCs.
