HONG KONG TIANZHU BEVERAGE COMPANY LIMITED was founded in 1921 by Wu Yunchu, a famous industrialist from China. It established a factory in To Kwa Wan, Kowloon in 1937, becoming the only monosodium glutamate (MSG) manufacturer in Hong Kong. The 'Tianzhu' brand is the flagship brand of Hong Kong Tianchu. Initially a MSG producer, it has expanded to offer five categories of food products: seasonings, green foods, health foods, instant foods, and snack foods. Its products are sold in over 40 countries. In recent years, Tianchu has developed into a diversified comprehensive enterprise integrating real estate, investment, and food manufacturing, actively expanding into the Chinese mainland market. In 2003, it established Hangzhou Tianchu Miyuan Health Products Co., Ltd. in a joint venture with Hangzhou Miyuan Health Products Co., Ltd.
