O · PARK1 is the first organic resources recovery centre in Hong Kong, located at Siu Ho Wan, North Lantau. It uses anaerobic digestion technology to convert food waste into biogas (a renewable energy source similar to natural gas) for power generation. The residuals generated in the process can be turned into by-product compost for landscaping and agricultural production purposes. O · PARK1 can handle 200 tonnes of food waste per day.
