The National Engineering Research Center of Urban Water Resources Development and Utilization (Northern China) is jointly built by Harbin Institute of Technology (Harbin Institute of Technology) and Yuehai Water Utilities co., Ltd. The center specializes in the research and development of key generic technologies and the industrialization of major scientific and technological achievements in the field of comprehensive treatment of China's water environment and drinking water safety. It provides advanced technologies, processes, and products for the industry under the market mechanism. The center's research focuses on urban water environment ecological security, urban water quality security, and urban water health cycle. It has a comprehensive experimental building and a research and development team led by academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The company also offers research and development of science and technology, consulting services, process design, environmental testing, water treatment equipment and engineering contracting.
