CYS Associates (HK) Ltd, founded by Kenneth T H Chau in 1982, evolved from the practices of R H Yu and Associates (1978) and David Shek and Associates (1981). The firm became CYS Associates (Hong Kong) Ltd in 1987. CYS maintains an office with qualified architects, architectural assistants, a drafting section, CAD facilities, a Site Supervisory Team, and an Interior Design Section. They have completed a variety of projects, including commercial complexes, offices, hotels, residential estates, schools, recreation facilities, industrial centers, and renovations. Their philosophy emphasizes design excellence, technical innovation, and balancing economy and aesthetics. CYS has received numerous design awards and was recognized as a Top 10 Market Leader in Architecture in Hong Kong by BCI Asia Building & Construction Interchange for several years.
