CHINA CEREALS AND OILS AND FOODSTUFFS IMPORT AND EXPORT LIMITED, formerly known as China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Import & Export Corporation, has a history that traces back to the North China Foreign Trade Company established in Tianjin in February 1949, which was split into several companies including North-China Cereals Company, China National Oils & Oilseeds Company in September 1949. These companies were reorganized into state-owned enterprises and subsequently, China National Cereals Export Corporation and China National Oils & Oilseeds Export Corporation.
